Bio

I am a PhD candidate at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Civil and Systems Engineering and Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute, advised by Prof. Jochen Mueller. I develop materials, manufacturing processes, and computational methods for 3D printing. My research currently focuses on surrogates for simulation, optimization for path planning, and data-driven development and characterization in additive manufacturing and materials.

Before Hopkins, I earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, working with Prof. Carmel Majidi and Prof. Gina Olson on liquid crystal elastomer actuators, and a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science.
